Rule 1. Please do not curse or disrespect people in chat. If you need to curse please **** the words.
Rule 2. Please keep flooding to one liners with 7 lines per 10 seconds (maximum) to avoid crashing the server again. lol...
Rule 3. Please DO NOT EVER post bad or nasty links. This includes spam, porn and virus links.
These 3 simple RULES are for everyone including staff ! They help keep tellstream chat vibes flowing and if you repeatedly break them, you will be removed from chat. If you continue to break them and get removed three times, you will be banned from chat on the third removal. The rules have been in place and developed over 4 years now. They are FINAL, please respect them 100%.

Below is help on how to register your name in chat. This is quite easy in reality.

Firstly, you must login to Tellstream chat at least once in 30 days or your registration will automatically be deleted by the chat network and someone else could then register your name and you might not get it back. Please read these steps fully before you proceed otherwise you may end up wondering what has gone wrong. For example, when you return to chat next time, after you have registered, you have 60 seconds to enter your password code otherwise the network thinks you are trying to pose as someone else and will change your name. If this happens to you,t don't worry... go back to step 3 and reset your name. If you are having trouble with resetting your name, totally close chat and reload it. Then go back to step three and try to be a little quicker entering your password after you set your name.

During these steps, you will private messaged by the network bots, namely Nickserv will tell you if you have done it right or not.

 

Step 1 - setting your name

e.g. /nick Fred_Locks

(you cannot use spaces)

Also note there is a white box on the right of chat that you can type your name into. Due to Java and browser problems, sometimes this white box doesn't work for some people.

Step 2

e.g /msg nickserv register secret123 fredlocks@tellstream.com

Naturally, "secret123" is a password that you are creating, it can be anything you want.

Likewise, "fredlocks@tellstream.com would be your real email address that you should use, just in case you forget your password. If this happens, ask in chat how to get your password sent to your email address. Someone will help you.

Step 3

After registering your name, you can stay in chat fine, but when you leave and come back next time, you will be required to login with the same name you registered so that you can login.

e.g. /nick Fred_Locks

Step 4.

Step 4 e.g. /identify secret123

IMPORTANT ! As stated above, you have 60 seconds to enter this password code. Do not worry, you will get the hang of this whole process after a few times of doing it.

Incase you dont know where the / key is. Universally, it is usually as shown in the picture but you might have a slightly different keyboard layout. I recommend you find this key before you start.
